The wonders of nature
Middle Mayfield is an area that’s home to many species of birds and mammals. As well as the usual garden birds, you can frequently spot barn owls, goshawks and red kites. Also, keep an eye out for some of our favourites that make an appearance in the garden, including the greater spotted woodpecker and bullfinch.
In addition to searching the skies, don’t forget to look out for the many mammals that frequent the area. Hedgehogs, badgers, deer and foxes have all been spotted. They are around in the daytime, but dusk is the most opportune moment to catch a glimpse.
The gardens are a true thing of beauty, full of life, and rich with biodiversity. It is, like the property, listed. And it will be developed in a way that is sympathetic to the ongoing needs of the wildlife in the area.
